- Thesis Project description:
- An area of 40 square kilometers of the suture
zone (Indus suture or the Main Mantle Thrust Zone) between the
Indian Plate (Higher Himalaya) and the Kohistan Island Arc was
structurally mapped for the first time in Pakistan. Modern structural
techniques were utilised to examine the deepest sections of colliding
plates to relate small scale structures to large scale tectonic
features.

- Approved to wear a black stuff gown with
long, closed sleeves cut in a forward facing curve at the ends.
A hood of black corded silk fully lined and edged on the cape,
cowl and neck band with 3/8" of silk of gold (Yellow) is
worn. As a member of convocation, an additional facing of one-and-a-half
of white silk inside the cowl of the hood is also worn. A black
cloth mortar-board with a black tassle is worn.

- Imperial College of Science, Technology and
Medicine is the largest applied science, technology and medicine
university institution in the UK. It is consistently rated in
the top three UK university institutions for research quality,
with one of the largest annual turnovers (£390 million
for 2000-01) and research incomes (£202 million for 2000-01).
In the December 2001 Research Assessment Exercise, 75 per cent
