- Raine's Foundation School has dominated the
sport scene at Borough level, and has achieved an outstanding
series of successes at the regional and national level for the
2001-2002 academic year. The school is fast becoming recognised
as one of the best achieving schools for sports in the country.

- Raine's reputation in basketball is unsurpassed
by any other school in the country. Having won the National Schools
Basketball Competition 15 times already since the 1960s, the
Under 13 team once again dominated its year, winning the English
National Passerelle Basketball Championship. The Under 15 team
were also the National competition runners up. David Ajomobi
and Tisean Jeffers were selected for the England National Basketball
Passerelle team.

- In football, Raine's Foundation School won
the Under 16 London Cup and were the Under 12 London Cup Semi
Finalists. Raine's Foundation were also the Nike 3 vs. 3 London
Competition runners up and one pupil, Adrian Pettigrew, was selected
as an Under 16 England International Footballer. The school was
also undefeated in the Girls Under 13 Tower Hamlets League and
were the winners of the Leyton Orient Cup, with the Under 15s
being runners up of the Leyton Orient Cup. The Under 13s also
reached the 4th round of the Coca-Cola Girls National Football
Cup.

- In athletics, Raine's Foundation School have
continued to dominate at many levels. They were the Under 12,
Under 13 and Under 15 (4th year in a row) Borough Champions with
the girls being Junior (3rd year in a row) and Intermediate Borough
Champions. Raine's Foundation School were the London Athletic
Champions, winning the 'Simmonds Cup' in the Under 12s, Under
14s and Under 15s (4th year running) competitions. Ten athletes
were chosen to represent London in regional competitions and
Leon Herbert reached the national qualifying standard in the
long jump, representing London at the England Schools Competition.
Raine's were also the Junior and Intermediate Regional Winners
of the TSB National Competition, with the Junior and Intermediate
Girls being the Regional Runners Up. The Junior Boys, Junior
Girls and both Intermediate teams were the South of England Cup
Finalists in the TSB National Competition.

- Although athletics, basketball and football
dominated the year, there have also been notable successes in
other sports. Raine's Foundation School were the Inner London
Hedon Cup Rugby winners (Under 14s) with 5 players chosen to
represent Middlesex. The Under 12 Cricket Borough Championship
was won by a strong Raine's Foundation team and 2 trampolinists
were chosen to represent London.
