A Raine's Foundation School music teacher's band is on the verge of breaking into the music profession after being shortlisted in the music competition Xfm Unsigned.

Andy Norton's band Denzel, described as a "supercharged rock band", has been selected from over 900 entries to be part of a shortlist of 32.

On 20th February, 2003 the show 'The works' will play the band's lead track 'pretty people' from their new e.p called 'A'. The show is hosted by Claire Sturgess and is broadcast from 9pm to 11pm on 104.9 FM.

You can vote for the band on www.xfm.co.uk/xfmunsigned and play your part in helping Denzel win the competition.

The band are currently based in a disused section of an East London psychiatric hospital which inspires their emotionally super charged alt-rock sound.
